So I’m late to the party… But I just noticed the falloutboyrock.com isn’t a thing anymore.
That’s sort of depressing. :/
Miss Missing You, Fall Out Boy
I am in love with this album.
It is one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever heard, for so many reasons. These are not the same guys we knew 5 years ago, this is not the same sound we were used to hearing. No, it’s not the same.
It’s better. They’re better.
This album is so powerful and it’s more grown up and it’s the kind of album I could play on a warm summer’s night and dance and dance until I couldn’t dance anymore. The guys have grown and so has their sound. To listen to EOWYG or TTTYG and listen through up to Save Rock and Roll is really an experience because you’re listening to people evolve, listening to this sound evolve into what it is on this album. The songs are beautiful, the lyrics are meaningful. And one of my favorite parts of this whole album is that the guys did this for themselves. They didn’t churn out an album because they had to impress the critics or their label or their fans, and I feel like all of their music is sincere, but this album just feels so much more… earnest? I’m not sure what the right word to use is but I know that it’s different in more than sound. And that makes me incredibly happy. Happy as a fan of their music and as a person who cares that they’re happy doing what they do.
Save Rock and Roll is by far my favorite song, not only because it’s just absolutely brilliant in every single way, but because I feel like it sums up a lot in a really meaningful way. It brought me to tears. *x* The whole album is extremely well written and played, the guest artists were great, and there is very little I have to say against this album.
This is a very, very poor summation of my feelings and doesn’t do them, or the album, any justice whatsoever. So if you haven’t heard Save Rock and Roll yet, you really definitely need to as soon as possible. I have a lot of feelings for this band and I am happy that they’re happy again and I’m happy this album means so much to them and I’m happy because it already means a great deal to me. I can’t properly express what I’m feeling right now after listening to it other than to use the same boring adjectives I’ve used a thousand times before. This album has powerful songs, fun songs, summer-y songs. This album is interesting, moving, impressive, and a bajillion other adjectives and cliched phrases (in the best way).
This is Fall Out Boy.
I am crying, not even kidding.
I hit play and an emotional wave immediately crushed me.
This fucking band, I will never be in love with anyone more than I am in love with these boys.
So who else is seeing FOB in Tampa and Georgia in September? I ammmm. (:
I like how everyone is bitching that they didn’t show their faces.
A nearly 4 years hiatus, they make an album/tour/music video in secret, and you really expected them to have a normal first national TV appearance?
LOL. Jokes on you.
CAN WE TALK ABOUT THIS TICKET SCALPING CUNT DEFENDING HIS TICKET SCALPING ACTIONS?
Are you FUCKING KIDDING ME?
Yesterday I posted a screencap from craigslist showing a post someone made flaming scalpers and THEN ANOTHER FUCKING SCALPER POSTED A REPLY DEFENDING HIMSELF.
You. Are. A. Piece. Of. Shit.
